The Joy-euse of Acting

Bad pun intended.

Kevin Kline just signed on to star alongside Jennifer Beals in the new film "Joueuse" which is lensing as we speak. Details are scant on the film but Kevin is playing someone named "Kroger" with an umlaut above the "O" so you know it's serious. Umlauts do NOT mess around! Well, maybe sometimes they do. Look for the movie later in the year.

In related news, if you google image search the title of this film you get a whole LOT of boobs. There must be a connection. Here is a photo of Kevin Kline doing his own image search and discovering the same thing.

He looks happy doesn't he?

Au Revoire, Cyrano

Kevin Kline's Broadway portrayal of Cyrano de Bergerac has finally come to an end. The play was set to end in December but due to massive popularity and critical acclaim, the run was extended until January 6th. No amount of critical acclaim could keep it going forever though. It is Broadway, after all. There are still a few Disney properties left that haven't been turned into piles of steaming dog doodoo. Can we say "Ducktales" the musical?!

Kevin hates the Internet!

Kevin has been giving interviews lately in which he says one cannot believe anything one reads on the web. His anger stems from a series of false pregnancy reports posted on various blogs in 2005.

"I've read things about myself on the internet that my kids have shown me and it's completely invented. Supposedly, my wife and I, we're expecting our third baby and it's due in the autumn, so what else would we name it but Autumn. You can't believe everything you read."  He told an interviewer.

I love Kevin, but if not the Internet, where else are we supposed to get our information? I don't know if you noticed, but the news aint exactly what it was twenty or thirty years ago.

He adds, "I've been credited with certain films that were never made. They're part of my filmography that I've read on the internet."

Speaking of, let's try to start some false film rumors. "Fish Called Wanda 2" anyone? I heard he is actually going to star in a Pink Panther remake with Beyonce and Steve Martin. Nobody will believe that one.

On Broadway again

Kevin, in case you didn't know, loves being in Broadway plays. So it comes as no surprise that he has signed up for a stage production of "Cyrano De Bergerac". I guess he does share a slight resemblance to Steve Martin. His Roxanne will be none other than "Alias" star Jennifer Garner, who will be brightening up her resume with the production until she jumps headlong into "13 Going on 30 Part 2". I made that part up. But, hell, I'd see it. I love age switcharoo movies.

According to the NY Post, the play begins it's run in October. Reserve your tickets now. You don't want to get stuck seeing that Lion King musical.
